Battleworn Viking Sword – Distressed Viking LARP Sword

The Battleworn Viking Sword by Epic Armoury is a striking weapon that evokes status, heritage, and the marks of past battles. Inspired by legendary swords such as “Skraep,” which was reportedly unearthed in a rusty condition, it features a deliberately aged appearance. The legend of King Vermund’s son saving Denmark from the Saxons adds a further layer of historical and mythical inspiration. The simulated rust and signs of wear are intentional design details, not indications of poor condition.

The sword’s standout feature is its intricately decorated crossguard with a serpent-like motif. The carefully sculpted handle is wrapped in leather and finished with an elaborately detailed pommel. Special paintwork and sculpted effects recreate rust stains, nicks, and scratches, giving the sword the convincing appearance of a weapon with a long history.

The Battleworn Viking Sword is available in two lengths: 85 cm and 100 cm. Both variants feature a blade with a fuller, designed to reduce weight while helping maintain structural stability. The blade is made from closed-cell foam surrounding a fiberglass core and finished with a durable latex coating. The detailed polyurethane foam handle allows for intricate sculpting and requires little maintenance.
