Native 5 Sprint Run – Fluted Carbon Fiber

The Native 5 Fluted Carbon Fiber proudly features the same exceptional handle design as Spyderco's 40th Anniversary Native 5. Its meticulously machined fluted sunburst pattern highlights the layered construction of each solid carbon fiber scale, creating a striking appearance while providing a subtle, slip-resistant texture.

Like the Native 5 Lightweight, the scales feature four sets of threaded stainless steel inserts that allow the hourglass pocket clip to be mounted in four different positions. The flanged inserts are installed from the inside of each scale for maximum strength, providing a secure foundation for left- or right-side tip-up or tip-down carry.

A solid stainless steel backspacer further strengthens the handle while helping fine-tune the knife's balance. A generously sized lanyard hole passes through both scales and aligns with an opening in the pocket clip when mounted for tip-up carry, allowing fobs and lanyards to be attached easily and securely.

Like all Native 5 models, this version features Spyderco's highly evolved Back Lock, a defining characteristic of the design. Precision-machined to tolerances of less than 0.025 mm, the lock offers excellent strength and smooth operation with either hand.

The premium blade is crafted from CPM S90V stainless steel, an advanced particle metallurgy steel with a high vanadium content. This promotes the formation of extremely hard vanadium carbides, enhancing wear resistance and edge retention. At the same time, more free chromium remains available to provide excellent corrosion resistance.

The PlainEdge blade features a full-flat grind for efficient, low-friction cutting performance. Spyderco's fully accessible Trademark Round Hole allows fast, ambidextrous, one-handed opening.

An index-finger choil at the base of the blade provides a secure forward grip for maximum control. Both the choil and thumb ramp feature crisp jimping for additional traction and handling security.
