The typical Bowie goes back to work and combat knives from the time of the legendary Wild West around 1800. The name comes from James Bowie, a pioneer and soldier in Texas. He made this knife shape famous. A duckbill-shaped blade and a strong, often S-shaped crossguard are typical.

The blade made of rust-proof molybdenum-vanadium steel runs through as a round tang to the handle end and is screwed there. The handle scales are made of olive wood and have pronounced finger recesses for a good hand position. The crossguard and the end knob are made of brass. With high quality leather sheath.
