Dragonfly Katana - Unokubi Zukuri

Our dragonfly Katana (Unokubi Zukuri) is part of the Ronin class and is forged of 1060 steel. The blade is sharply polished and forged in the style of Unokubi Zukuri, which was derived from Naginata and later transferred to other weapons like the Katana. The blade form makes the blade lighter because less steel was used, which therefore makes the sword the perfect Katana for cutting. The blade hardness is 55 HRC and was tested and confirmed in a laboratory in Germany. The ito wrapping was done in black silk and it was applied to the real ray skin on the handle. The handle and blade are bound by 3 Mekugi for a solid fit of the hilt on the tang. The fittings of the Tsuba, Fuchi, Kashira and Menuki are done in black iron and displays the well-known dragonfly theme.
