Tolles Buch , liest sich super und man erfährt auch etwas über die allgemeine Historie Japans . Nur diese betrieben Huldigung des katana ist etwas zu viel ( Wenn zb geschrieben wird das ja als Fachmänner ohne Zweifel das katana als DAS Schwert hinstellen würden, usw ) .

Ich kann mich der Meinung meinen Vorgängern nur anschließen, dieses Buch ist für Anfänger und Kenner japanischer gleuchermaßen geeignet. Es beschreibt jedes Detail eines Katana und geht dabei auch auf die japanische Geschichte und Kultur ein. Aber es ist nicht nur der Inhalt der überzeugt, die Abbildungen sind zwar nur schwarz/weiß jedoch von sehr guter Qualität. Die Bindung des Buches(Heftbindung) ist auch von sehr guter Qualität![Glaubt mir ruhig, ich arbeite in einer Universitätsbibliothek;)] An dieser Stelle möchte ich den exzellenten Kundenservice lohnen. Bei Problemen wird einem wirklich jede (dumme) Frage beantwortet. Man merkt das die Mitarbeiter sich wirklich Mühe geben, kann man wirklich nicht von jedem Onlineshop behaupten!

Wer als Neuling in die Welt des Katana einsteigen möchte oder als geübter Kenner sein Wissen erweitern will ist mit diesem Buch bestens bedient. Nach einer Einführung in die japanische Geschichte wird jedes Detail eines Samuraischwertes beschrieben und ihrer Epoche zugeteilt. Interessant vorallem um ein antikes Katana zu bestimmen.
